Setting mindset, having clarity, and being really crystal clear on what we're doing.
Welcome to another Monday Minute episode! Today, we're diving into the power of mindset and clarity. I'm sharing a profound quote from one of my favorite books, "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl. As an entrepreneur, this book is a must-read, and Frankl's wisdom transcends into all aspects of life.
The quote goes like this: "Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued. It must ensue and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself, or as the byproduct of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success. You have to let it happen by not caring about it."
These words hit home for me on personal, relational, and business levels. I keep this quote on my desk for a regular dose of grounding and perspective. I encourage you to absorb these words, let them resonate, and keep them close. Success, like happiness, is a byproduct of dedication to a higher cause. So, take this wisdom with you throughout your week, and remember, relationships beat algorithms. See you in the next episode!
