How to get more customers through their content or social media presence that give me the biggest impact on my business for the best possible reasons.
Welcome back to another episode of Winning Wednesdays, where we delve into transformative lessons for your life and business. Forget the formalities; we've got Monday minutes for quick insights and Free-for-All Fridays for unfiltered discussions. Today, it's Winning Wednesday, and the sole objective is simple: listen, apply, and implement into your life or business.
Let me share a quick story about one of the most transformative lessons I've learned in business. My approach to health and fitness used to be fixated on reaching the next finish line, not the entire race. I'd set a goal, achieve it, and then find myself wondering, "What's next?" This led to a roller coaster journey with my health, sleep, supplementation, and fitness, as I failed to envision the complete race.
Now, clarity is key. I've shifted my focus from tying world records to a broader vision of strength, functional fitness, health, and overall well-being. The difference? I'm no longer chasing arbitrary goals; I'm on a lifelong journey, understanding that each step contributes to the long game.
This lesson extends beyond personal fitness—it's a marketing fundamental. Many businesses focus on the front end of the customer journey but neglect what comes after. It's crucial to map out the entire customer journey, guiding them seamlessly from point A to point B and beyond. Think beyond the first sale; consider where your customers will be in a month, a year, or even a decade.
Your role is to lead your customers forward, step by step. If your content lacks structure and clear calls to action, it's just noise. Every touchpoint should propel them closer to their goals and deepen their connection with your brand.
To simplify marketing, you must know where you're taking people. Understand their wants, needs, fears, and objections, and design a journey that addresses each of these elements. Break down the process into manageable steps—baby steps, as in "What About Bob?" People can commit to one thing at a time; make each step clear and compelling.
As you craft your content, consider where your customers are and where you want to take them. It's about creating intentional touchpoints that move them forward, building trust and a lasting relationship. Your business is a lighthouse guiding them through the journey, and every piece of content should serve a purpose.
So, take five minutes today to jot down where you want to see yourself in 30, 60, and 90 days. Then, come back tomorrow as we continue this journey, breaking down the next steps in your evolution. Remember, clarity is power, and intentional marketing guarantees success.
